Clinical Science is a peer-reviewed medical journal that covers all areas of clinical research, from molecular biology and genetics to epidemiology and clinical trials. The journal is published monthly by the Biochemical Society and is currently edited by Rhian M. Touyz.

History

Clinical Science was first published in 1909 by the Biochemical Society, making it one of the oldest medical journals still in publication. The journal has a long history of publishing significant contributions to clinical research, including early work on the insulin and the human genome.

Scope

The journal publishes original research articles, reviews, and commentaries in all areas of clinical science, including but not limited to cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, genetics, immunology, neurology, oncology, and pharmacology. The journal also publishes special issues on specific topics of interest to the clinical science community.

Clinical Science is abstracted and indexed in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and other major databases. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2019 impact factor of 5.223.

The editorial board of Clinical Science is composed of leading researchers in the field of clinical science from around the world. The current editor-in-chief is Rhian M. Touyz, a renowned researcher in the field of hypertension and vascular biology.
