Western India is a region in the western part of India. It comprises the states of Goa, Gujarat, and Maharashtra along with the union territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. This union territory was formed by merging the former union territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. It is known for its scenic beauty and Portuguese colonial architecture.
