Balfour Hospital is a healthcare facility located in Kirkwall, the largest town and capital of the Orkney Islands in Scotland. The hospital is managed by NHS Orkney, a part of the National Health Service in Scotland.
History[edit]
Balfour Hospital was originally established in 1921, named after Arthur Balfour, a former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The hospital underwent a significant redevelopment project, which was completed in 2019. The new facility replaced the old Balfour Hospital and the former Kirkwall and District Hospital.

Balfour Hospital provides a wide range of healthcare services. These include Accident and Emergency services, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Radiology. The hospital also offers Outpatient care and Inpatient care services.
