Snapple is a brand of tea and juice drinks owned by Keurig Dr Pepper. It was founded in 1972 in Long Island, New York, by Leonard Marsh, Hyman Golden, and Arnold Greenberg. The brand is known for its wide variety of flavors and its quirky marketing campaigns.

History

Snapple was originally a part of the Unadulterated Food Corporation, which was founded in 1972. The company initially sold natural fruit juices to health food stores. The name "Snapple" was derived from a carbonated apple juice product that was part of the early product line.

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Snapple gained popularity with its iced tea products, which were marketed as "Made from the Best Stuff on Earth." The brand's advertising featured Wendy Kaufman, known as the "Snapple Lady," who answered letters from customers on television commercials.

In 1994, Snapple was acquired by Quaker Oats Company for $1.7 billion, but the brand struggled under Quaker's management. In 1997, Snapple was sold to Triarc Companies, Inc., which also owned Arby's.

In 2000, Snapple was acquired by Cadbury Schweppes, and in 2008, it became part of the Dr Pepper Snapple Group, which later merged with Keurig Green Mountain to form Keurig Dr Pepper in 2018.

Products

Snapple offers a wide range of beverages, including iced tea, lemonade, and fruit drinks. Some of the most popular flavors include Peach Tea, Lemon Tea, and Kiwi Strawberry. Snapple is known for its "Real Facts" printed under the bottle caps, which provide interesting trivia and facts.

Marketing

Snapple's marketing has been characterized by its humorous and quirky style. The brand has used various slogans over the years, including "Made from the Best Stuff on Earth" and "The Best Stuff on Earth Just Got Better." Snapple has also engaged in various promotional campaigns, including partnerships with television shows and sports events.
