History
Dick's Supermarket was founded in 1970 by Richard "Dick" Brodbeck. The first store was opened in Platteville, Wisconsin. Over the years, the chain expanded to several locations in southwestern Wisconsin and northeastern Iowa.
In 2001, Dick's Supermarket was acquired by Piggly Wiggly Midwest, a larger grocery chain. Following the acquisition, the stores were gradually rebranded under the Piggly Wiggly name.
