Media is a borough in and the county seat of Delaware County, in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It is located approximately 13 miles west of Philadelphia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 5,357.
History[edit]
Media was settled in 1682 and incorporated in 1850. It was designated the county seat when Delaware County was created in 1789. The borough has a rich history, including its role in the Underground Railroad and its development as a Quaker community.

Education[edit]
Media is served by the Rose Tree Media School District. The borough is also home to the Delaware County Institute of Science and the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology.
Transportation[edit]
Media is accessible via several major roads, including U.S. Route 1 and Pennsylvania Route 252. Public transportation is provided by the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA), which operates the Media/Elwyn Line and several bus routes.
