Media is a borough in and the county seat of Delaware County, in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It is located approximately 13 miles west of Philadelphia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 5,357.

History[edit]

Media was settled in 1682 and incorporated in 1850. It was designated the county seat when Delaware County was created in 1789. The borough has a rich history, including its role in the Underground Railroad and its development as a Quaker community.
