For more information see metabolic pathways.

This category is for processes such as glycolysis, not metabolic intermediates, such as 17α-hydroxyprogesterone, or single biochemical reactions.

For metabolic intermediates are the precursors or metabolites of biologically significant molecules, but not considered themselves as biologically significant molecules, such as 17α-hydroxyprogesterone, use the Category:Metabolic intermediates. For biologically significant molecules, use appropriate category that specifies its biological significance, such as Category:Estrogens for Estradiol. If you are unsure on what kind of molecule is and what is the best category of such a molecule that participates in metabolic pathways, as a worst-case scenario, use Category:Biomolecules

Articles in this category fit Short description of "Series of interconnected biochemical reactions".
