Youth

Youth (pronunciation: /juːθ/) is a term used to describe the period of life between childhood and adulthood. The term is often associated with the teenage years, but its boundaries are not universally agreed upon. In many contexts, it is used to refer specifically to individuals who are between the ages of 13 and 19, but it can also refer to a broader age range.

Etymology

The term "youth" comes from the Old English word "geoguð," which was used to refer to "young people collectively." It is related to the Old Saxon "juguth," the Old Norse "ungdomr," and the German "Jugend."
