Yountville is a town in Napa County, California, United States. Located in the Napa Valley, it is known for its wineries and gourmet restaurants. The town was named after George C. Yount, an early pioneer in the area.
History
Yountville was originally established as part of a land grant given to George C. Yount in 1836. Yount was the first person to plant grapevines in the Napa Valley, which laid the foundation for the region's wine industry. The town was officially incorporated on February 4, 1965.

Yountville is situated in the heart of the Napa Valley, surrounded by vineyards and rolling hills. The town covers an area of 1.53 square miles (3.96 km²), all of which is land. The climate is characterized by warm, dry summers and mild, wet winters, typical of the Mediterranean climate found in the region.
