Yasemin Dalkılıç

Yasemin Dalkılıç (born July 28, 1979) is a Turkish free-diving champion. She has broken numerous world records in the sport and is recognized as one of the most accomplished free-divers in the world.

Early Life

Yasemin Dalkılıç was born in Ankara, Turkey. She developed an interest in swimming and diving at a young age. She began free-diving at the age of five and quickly demonstrated a natural talent for the sport.

Career

Dalkılıç's career in free-diving began in earnest in 1999, when she broke her first world record in the Constant Weight category. Since then, she has broken multiple world records in various categories of free-diving, including Free Immersion, Variable Weight, and No Limits.

In 2002, Dalkılıç achieved a world record in the No Limits category by diving to a depth of 120 meters. This record was particularly notable as it was achieved without the use of any breathing apparatus or mechanical aids.

Dalkılıç has also been involved in various scientific research projects related to free-diving and human physiology. She has worked with researchers from the University of Miami and the Naval Medical Research Institute to study the effects of deep diving on the human body.
