The World Allergy Organization (WAO) is an international umbrella organization whose members consist of 99 regional and national allergy and clinical immunology societies from around the world. The WAO is dedicated to advancing the knowledge and practice of allergy and clinical immunology for optimal patient care.

The World Allergy Organization was established in 1951. It was created to promote the study and treatment of allergic diseases and to foster the exchange of information among allergy specialists worldwide.
