Winfield S. Hall

Winfield Scott Hall (April 5, 1861 – February 24, 1934) was an influential American physiologist, educator, and author known for his contributions to the field of physiology and his dedication to improving medical education. Born in Batavia, Illinois, Hall pursued his education at Northwestern University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. He furthered his studies in Germany at the University of Leipzig, where he received his Ph.D. under the tutelage of the renowned physiologist Carl Ludwig.
