The Wilbur Chocolate Company was founded by Henry Oscar Wilbur and Samuel Croft in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The company initially started as the Croft & Wilbur chocolate and confectionery business. In 1884, the company was divided into two separate entities, with the chocolate manufacturing business becoming the H.O. Wilbur & Sons.

Products[edit]

The Wilbur Chocolate Company is famous for its Wilbur Buds, a type of chocolate drop that predates the Hershey's Kiss. Other popular products include the Wilbur Semi-Sweet Chocolate and the Wilbur Milk Chocolate. Acquisition by Cargill[edit]
