Website

A Website (pronounced: /ˈwɛbsaɪt/) is a collection of related network web resources, such as web pages, multimedia content, which are typically identified with a common domain name, and published on at least one web server. Notable examples are wikipedia.org, google.com, and amazon.com.

The term "website" comes from the words "web" and "site". The term "web" is derived from the so-called "world wide web" (WWW), a term coined by British computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee in 1989. The term "site" is derived from the Latin word "situs", which means "place" or "location".
