Visual Arts
Visual arts (/ˈvɪʒuəl ɑːrts/) are a class of art that includes any creative endeavor or discipline that primarily uses the sense of sight, as opposed to other arts like music (auditory art) or literature (written art).
Etymology
The term "visual arts" comes from the Latin "visus," meaning "sight," and the English "art," which has its roots in the Old French "art," meaning "skill or craft."

- Fine Art: This is a visual art considered to have been created primarily for aesthetic and intellectual purposes and judged for its beauty and meaningfulness, specifically, painting, sculpture, drawing, watercolor, graphics, and architecture.
- Applied Art: This is the application of design and aesthetics to objects of function and everyday use. Whereas fine arts serve as intellectual stimulation to the viewer or academic sensibilities, the applied arts incorporate design and creative ideals to objects of utility, such as a cup, magazine or decorative park bench.

- Contemporary Art: This is the art of today, produced in the second half of the 20th century or in the 21st century. Contemporary artists work in a globally influenced, culturally diverse, and technologically advancing world.
