Visual Arts

Visual arts (/ˈvɪʒuəl ɑːrts/) are a class of art that includes any creative endeavor or discipline that primarily uses the sense of sight, as opposed to other arts like music (auditory art) or literature (written art).

Etymology

The term "visual arts" comes from the Latin "visus," meaning "sight," and the English "art," which has its roots in the Old French "art," meaning "skill or craft."
