Victim blaming
Victim Blaming is a term used in Psychology and Sociology to describe a phenomenon where the victim of a crime, an accident, or any type of abusive behavior is held as wholly or partially responsible for the transgressions committed against them. This term is most commonly used in reference to instances of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence, but can be applied to any situation where blame is shifted from the perpetrator to the victim.
