Vesania is a Polish extreme metal band formed in 1997. The band's name is derived from the Latin word for "insanity." Vesania's music is characterized by a blend of black metal, death metal, and symphonic metal elements, creating a unique and intense sound.

History[edit]

Vesania was founded by Orion (real name Tomasz Wróblewski), who is also known for his work with the band Behemoth. The original lineup included Orion on bass and vocals, Daray on drums, and Heinrich on guitar. The band released their debut album, Firefrost Arcanum, in 2003, which was well-received in the metal community.

In 2005, Vesania released their second album, God the Lux, which further established their presence in the extreme metal scene. The album featured complex compositions and a darker, more atmospheric sound. Their third album, Distractive Killusions, was released in 2007, showcasing the band's continued evolution and experimentation with symphonic elements.
