Etymology

The name "University of Nursing, Mandalay" is derived from its location in Mandalay, the second-largest city and the last royal capital of Myanmar, and its focus on nursing education.

History

The University of Nursing, Mandalay was established in 1954 as the Mandalay Branch of the Rangoon Medical College. It became an independent institution in 1993, and was renamed the University of Nursing, Mandalay in 2001.

Programs

The University of Nursing, Mandalay offers a four-year Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.N.Sc.) degree program, a two-year Master of Nursing Science (M.N.Sc.) degree program, and a three-year Doctor of Nursing Science (D.N.Sc.) degree program. It also offers post-basic specialty courses in Critical Care Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, and Community Health Nursing.

Affiliations
