Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) is a public university located in Terengganu, Malaysia. It is one of the leading institutions of higher learning in the country, offering a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The university is named after Sultan Zainal Abidin III, a former ruler of Terengganu.

History

UniSZA was established in 1980 as the Kolej Ugama Sultan Zainal Abidin (KUSZA), focusing primarily on Islamic studies. Over the years, it expanded its academic offerings and was upgraded to a university college in 2005, known as Universiti Darul Iman Malaysia (UDM). In 2010, it was granted full university status and renamed Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin.

Campus

The university has three main campuses:

• Gong Badak Campus: Located in Kuala Nerus, this is the main campus and houses the administrative offices and several faculties.
• Kota Campus: Situated in the heart of Kuala Terengganu, this campus focuses on business and management programs.
• Besut Campus: Located in Besut, this campus specializes in agriculture and biotechnology.

Academic Faculties

UniSZA offers a diverse range of programs through its various faculties:

• Faculty of Medicine: Offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in medicine and health sciences.
• Faculty of Islamic Contemporary Studies: Focuses on Islamic studies and contemporary issues.

• Faculty of Law and International Relations: Offers programs in law, international relations, and diplomacy.
