Trichosanthes kirilowii

Trichosanthes kirilowii is a species of flowering plant in the Cucurbitaceae family, commonly known as Chinese cucumber or Chinese snake gourd. It is native to China and Korea, where it is found in a variety of habitats, including forests and scrublands.

Description

Trichosanthes kirilowii is a perennial climbing vine that can reach lengths of up to 10 meters. The plant has large, lobed leaves and produces white, fringed flowers. The fruit is a fleshy, oblong gourd that turns red when ripe. The seeds are black and encased in a gelatinous pulp.

Uses
