Finnish Road Race Joonas Henttala Team Novo Nordisk is a global all-diabetes professional cycling team that competes in the UCI ProSeries. History

Team Novo Nordisk originated from the merger of Team Type 1 and Team Novo Nordisk in December 2012. The former, Team Type 1, was founded in 2004 by Phil Southerland and Joe Eldridge, two cyclists with Type 1 diabetes. Their vision was to compete at a professional level, despite their condition, and to raise awareness about diabetes. In 2012, the team partnered with Novo Nordisk, a global healthcare company with a special focus on diabetes care, and thus, Team Novo Nordisk was born.
