Talk to Her (Spanish: Hable con ella ) is a 2002 Spanish drama film written and directed by Pedro Almodóvar. The film follows the story of two men who form an unlikely friendship as they care for two women who are both in comas.

Plot

The film begins with a performance of Pina Bausch's dance piece Café Müller. In the audience are Benigno Martín, a male nurse, and Marco Zuluaga, a travel writer. The two men do not know each other, but their lives will soon become intertwined.

Benigno is caring for Alicia Roncero, a young ballet student who has been in a coma for four years following a car accident. Marco is in a relationship with Lydia González, a famous bullfighter who is also in a coma after being gored by a bull. As Benigno and Marco spend time at the hospital, they develop a deep friendship.

The film explores themes of loneliness, communication, and the nature of love. Pedro Almodóvar uses a non-linear narrative to reveal the backstories of the characters and the events that led to the women's comas.
