Symrise

Symrise is a global supplier of fragrances, flavorings, cosmetic active ingredients, and raw materials. These ingredients are used in perfumes, personal care and cosmetic products, cleaning products, and home fragrances. Symrise also supplies functional ingredients, which are used in nutrition and health products.

History

Symrise was founded in 2003, through the merger of Dragoco Gerberding & Co. AG and Haarmann & Reimer GmbH. Both companies had a long history in the industry, with Dragoco being founded in 1919 and Haarmann & Reimer in 1874. The company is headquartered in Holzminden, Germany.

Products and Services

Symrise offers a wide range of products and services in three segments: Flavor & Nutrition, Scent & Care, and Corporate & Others. The Flavor & Nutrition segment provides flavors for food and beverages, as well as functional ingredients for health products. The Scent & Care segment offers fragrances, cosmetic ingredients, and aroma molecules. The Corporate & Others segment includes the activities of the corporate center and other business activities.

Sustainability

Symrise is committed to sustainability and has implemented various initiatives to reduce its environmental impact. The company is a member of the United Nations Global Compact and has set ambitious sustainability goals for 2025.

Financial Performance

Symrise has shown consistent financial growth over the years. In 2020, the company reported sales of €3.5 billion, an increase of 3.3% compared to the previous year.
