Sunny Anderson was born on April 9, 1975, in Lawton, Oklahoma. She spent her childhood in different parts of the world due to her father's career in the United States Army. Anderson graduated from Madison High School in San Antonio, Texas, and later attended Loyola University.

Career[edit]

Anderson began her broadcasting career as a radio host in Montgomery, Alabama. She later worked for Air Force News Agency radio and television in San Antonio, Texas. Anderson also served as a reporter and news writer at KCJZ and KONO-FM radio stations.

In 2005, Anderson shifted her career focus to food and started her catering company, Sunny's Delicious Dishes. In 2007, she made her debut on the Food Network with Gotta Get It, a program that focused on creating meals with unique kitchen gadgets. Anderson later hosted How'd That Get On My Plate? and Cooking for Real.

Anderson is a passionate advocate for the United Service Organizations and American Veterans. She also has a keen interest in music and has a collection of over 3,500 cookbooks.
