Stéphane Mifsud
Stéphane Mifsud is a renowned freediver from France. He is best known for his exceptional ability to hold his breath underwater, a skill that has earned him multiple world records in the sport of freediving.
Early Life[edit]
Born in Marseille, France, Mifsud developed a passion for the ocean and its inhabitants at a young age. He spent much of his childhood exploring the Mediterranean Sea, which sparked his interest in freediving.
Career[edit]
Mifsud began his professional freediving career in the early 2000s. He quickly gained recognition in the freediving community for his extraordinary breath-holding abilities. In 2009, he set a new world record in the Static Apnea discipline by holding his breath for 11 minutes and 35 seconds. This feat was achieved in a controlled environment, under the supervision of the International Association for the Development of Apnea (AIDA).
In addition to his record-breaking performances, Mifsud has also contributed to the sport of freediving through his work as a coach and mentor. He has trained numerous freedivers, many of whom have gone on to achieve their own successes in the sport.
