The Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) is a non-profit health organization that provides medical, dental, behavioral health, and community health services to the residents of Southeast Alaska. SEARHC was established in 1975 and is one of the oldest and largest Native-run health organizations in the United States.
History
SEARHC was founded to address the healthcare needs of the Tlingit, Haida, Tsimshian, and other Native peoples in Southeast Alaska. The consortium was created through the collaboration of several tribal organizations and community health advocates. Over the years, SEARHC has expanded its services and facilities to better serve the diverse population of the region.
Services
SEARHC offers a wide range of healthcare services, including:
- **Medical Services**: Primary care, specialty care, emergency services, and hospital care.
