South Central Regional Medical Center

South Central Regional Medical Center is a public, non-profit regional hospital located in Laurel, Mississippi. It is the only hospital in the city and has been serving the community since its founding in 1952. With 285 beds, it is one of the largest employers in Laurel, employing nearly 2,000 people.

The medical center also operates an ambulance service called "EMServ". This service provides emergency medical transportation to the community.

In terms of patient care, the facility has an average length of stay of about 4.6 days and a Medicaid utilization rate of around 70 percent.
