Simcere Pharmaceutical
Simcere Pharmaceutical is a pharmaceutical company based in Nanjing, China. It was established in 1995 and has since grown to become one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in China. The company specializes in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of branded generic and proprietary pharmaceuticals.
History[edit]
Simcere Pharmaceutical was founded by Jinsheng Ren in 1995. The company was initially focused on the production of generic drugs for the Chinese market. In 2005, Simcere Pharmaceutical became the first Chinese pharmaceutical company to receive approval from the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) to produce and sell a biological drug.
Products[edit]
Simcere Pharmaceutical's product portfolio includes drugs for the treatment of cancer, stroke, infectious diseases, and autoimmune diseases. Some of its most well-known products include Endu, a treatment for non-small cell lung cancer, and Bicun, a drug used to treat ischemic stroke.

Simcere Pharmaceutical has a strong focus on research and development (R&D). The company has established several R&D centers in China and the United States. These centers are dedicated to the development of innovative drugs in the fields of oncology, neurology, and immunology.
