Shenyang





Shenyang is the capital and largest city of Liaoning Province in Northeast China. Known historically as Mukden, it is an important industrial, cultural, and educational center in the country. Shenyang's history dates back over 7,200 years, with the city emerging as a major cultural and political center in Northeast China. It was the capital of the Qing Dynasty before the capital was moved to Beijing. The city is famous for the Shenyang Imperial Palace, which is smaller but similar to the Forbidden City in Beijing and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
