Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College
Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College (ShSMC) is a government medical school in Bangladesh, located in the Mirpur area of Dhaka. It was established in 2006 and is named after Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy, a former Prime Minister of Pakistan and a prominent leader of the Awami League. The college is affiliated with the University of Dhaka and offers a five-year course of study leading to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. After completing the MBBS, graduates must undergo a one-year internship to practice medicine in Bangladesh.
