Seven Network (commonly known as Channel Seven or simply Seven) is a major Australian commercial television network. It is owned by Seven West Media Limited, a diversified media company. Seven Network is one of the five main free-to-air television networks in Australia.

History

The Seven Network was launched on 4 November 1956, with its first station, HSV-7, broadcasting in Melbourne. The network expanded rapidly, establishing stations in Sydney (ATN-7), Brisbane (BTQ-7), Adelaide (SAS-7), and Perth (TVW-7). Over the years, Seven Network has grown to become one of the leading television networks in Australia.
