Scuderia AlphaTauri, formerly known as Scuderia Toro Rosso, is a Formula One racing team and constructor based in Faenza, Italy. It is one of two Formula One teams owned by Austrian beverage company Red Bull GmbH, the other being Red Bull Racing. The team made its racing debut in the 2006 Formula One season, following Red Bull's acquisition of the Minardi team in 2005. The rebranding to Scuderia AlphaTauri took place in 2020, to promote Red Bull's fashion brand "AlphaTauri".

History

Toro Rosso Era

The team was introduced as Scuderia Toro Rosso in 2006, inheriting Minardi's assets and entry to Formula One. Toro Rosso served as a junior team to Red Bull Racing, with a focus on developing young driving talents. The team's best achievement under the Toro Rosso name came in 2008 when Sebastian Vettel won the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, marking the first and only win for Toro Rosso.
