Renal Support Network
Overview[edit]
The Renal Support Network (RSN) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support and education to individuals affected by chronic kidney disease (CKD) and their families. Founded in 1993 by Lori Hartwell, a kidney disease survivor, RSN aims to empower people with kidney disease to live fulfilling lives despite their health challenges.
Mission[edit]
The mission of the Renal Support Network is to help patients develop their personal coping skills, special talents, and employability by educating and empowering them to take control of the course and management of the disease. RSN provides a variety of programs and services designed to meet the needs of the kidney community.
Programs and Services[edit]
RSN offers several programs and services to support individuals with kidney disease:
KidneyTalk Podcast[edit]
RSN produces a bi-weekly podcast called KidneyTalk, which features interviews with healthcare professionals, patients, and other experts in the field of nephrology. The podcast covers a wide range of topics related to kidney health, treatment options, and patient advocacy.
Patient Education[edit]

Hope Week[edit]
Hope Week is a series of events and activities organized by RSN to inspire and motivate kidney patients. It includes educational sessions, workshops, and social gatherings.
Leadership[edit]
Lori Hartwell, the founder of RSN, serves as the president of the organization. She is a prominent advocate for kidney patients and has been living with kidney disease since childhood. Her personal experiences have shaped the mission and programs of RSN.
