Red Bull RB4

Red Bull RB4 is a Formula One car which was designed by Adrian Newey for the 2008 Formula One season. The car was driven by Mark Webber and David Coulthard and was launched on January 16, 2008. The RB4 is the second car Adrian Newey designed for Red Bull Racing, following the Red Bull RB3.

Design and Development

The Red Bull RB4 was designed to improve upon the performance of its predecessor, the RB3. The car featured a number of design changes, including a longer wheelbase and a revised aerodynamic package. The RB4 was powered by a Renault engine, continuing the partnership between Red Bull Racing and Renault that began in 2007.

Performance

The RB4 proved to be a competitive car during the 2008 Formula One season. Mark Webber and David Coulthard achieved several top ten finishes, with Webber finishing the season in 11th place in the Drivers' Championship and Coulthard in 16th. The team finished the season in 7th place in the Constructors' Championship.

Legacy

The Red Bull RB4 is remembered as a significant step forward for Red Bull Racing in their quest to become a top team in Formula One. The lessons learned from the RB4 would be applied to the design of its successor, the Red Bull RB5, which would bring the team their first race wins and eventually their first World Championships.
