QuEChERS

Procedure
The QuEChERS method can be summarized in the following steps:
- Weighing of the sample.
- Addition of acetonitrile and vigorous shaking.
- Addition of salt mixture (e.g., sodium chloride and magnesium sulfate) and shaking.
- Centrifugation to separate the phases.
- Transfer of the acetonitrile layer to a tube containing dSPE cleanup materials.
- Shaking and centrifugation of the cleanup tube.
- The cleaned extract is then ready for analysis by chromatography or mass spectrometry.
