QResearch (/kjuː rɪˈsɜːrtʃ/) is a not-for-profit organization that provides a large-scale data resource of anonymized health records for public health research.

The term "QResearch" is a combination of the words 'Quality' and 'Research', reflecting the organization's commitment to improving healthcare through high-quality research.

History

QResearch was established in 2002 by Professor Julia Hippisley-Cox and Professor David Stables at the University of Nottingham. The database has since grown to include health records from over 1500 general practices in the UK.

Data

The QResearch database contains anonymized health records for approximately 35 million patients. This includes information on demographics, diagnoses, prescriptions, and clinical outcomes. The data is updated annually and is used for a wide range of public health research.
