Pteridium esculentum

Pteridium esculentum, commonly known as the bracken fern, is a species of fern in the family Dennstaedtiaceae. It is native to Australia and New Zealand, and is known for its large, triangular fronds.

Description

Pteridium esculentum is a perennial plant that grows from a horizontal underground stem known as a rhizome. The fronds, which can reach up to 2 meters in height, are divided into three parts, each of which is further divided, giving the plant a feathery appearance.
