Penoscrotal transposition (pronunciation: peh-noh-skroh-tal trans-poh-si-shun) is a rare congenital anomaly where the scrotum is located high, in front of the penis, instead of its usual position beneath it.
Etymology
The term "Penoscrotal transposition" is derived from three words: "Penis", a Latin word meaning "tail", "Scrotum", a Latin word meaning "a purse", and "Transposition", a Latin word meaning "the act of reversing the order or place of".
