Ostrea edulis

Description
The Ostrea edulis is a bivalve mollusk with a rough, irregularly shaped shell. The upper valve is flat while the lower valve is more convex. The oyster can reach up to 110 mm in size, but the average size is usually between 70 and 80 mm.
