Oregon House of Representatives
The Oregon House of Representatives is the lower house of the Oregon Legislative Assembly, the state legislature of the U.S. state of Oregon. The House is composed of 60 members, each representing a district of approximately 63,850 people. Members of the House are elected to two-year terms without term limits.
History
The Oregon House of Representatives was established in 1859 when Oregon was admitted to the Union as the 33rd state. The House has undergone various changes in its structure and function over the years, adapting to the growing population and evolving political landscape of the state.
