OpenNeuro

OpenNeuro (/ˈoʊpənˈnʊəroʊ/; from the English words "open" and "neuroscience") is a free and open platform for sharing neuroimaging data. It is a project of the Center for Reproducible Neuroscience and is funded by the National Institute of Mental Health.

Etymology

The term "OpenNeuro" is a combination of the English words "open" and "neuroscience". "Open" refers to the platform's commitment to open science and data sharing, while "neuro" is short for "neuroscience", the scientific study of the nervous system.

Description

OpenNeuro facilitates the sharing and analysis of neuroimaging data. It allows researchers to upload raw data, which is then automatically processed and made available for other researchers to download and use in their own studies. The platform supports a variety of neuroimaging data types, including functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), structural magnetic resonance imaging (sMRI), and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI).
