One Life to Live
One Life to Live (often abbreviated as OLTL) is an American soap opera that was broadcast on the ABC television network for more than 43 years, from July 15, 1968, to January 13, 2012. Created by Agnes Nixon, the show was set in the fictional town of Llanview, Pennsylvania, and primarily focused on the lives of the Lord, Wolek, and Riley families.
History
The show was created by Agnes Nixon, who also created the soap opera All My Children. One Life to Live was groundbreaking for its time, as it was the first daytime drama to feature ethnically and socioeconomically diverse characters and consistently address social issues.
Main Characters
- Victoria "Viki" Lord - Portrayed by Erika Slezak, Viki is the show's central character, known for her multiple personalities and long-running family saga.
