Neupogen is used in patients with certain types of cancer and neutropenia caused by certain types of chemotherapy, and in patients with severe chronic neutropenia that is not caused by cancer treatment. |

It is also used before an autologous stem cell transplant. Neupogen helps the bone marrow make more white blood cells. It's a kind of colony stimulating factor
