Navajo (pronounced: /ˈnæv.ə.hoʊ/) is a term that can refer to a Native American people or their language. The term is derived from the Spanish word Navahu, which is believed to be based on the Tewa word Navahuu, meaning "large area of cultivated land".

Navajo People

The Navajo people are the largest federally recognized Native American Indian tribe in the United States. They are primarily located in the southwestern United States, in the states of Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah.
