The national symbols of the United States are the symbols used to represent the United States of America. These symbols include the flag of the United States, the Great Seal, the national bird, and the national mammal. These symbols are often used to evoke feelings of patriotism and pride in the country.
National Flag
The flag of the United States, often referred to as the "Stars and Stripes," consists of thirteen horizontal stripes of red and white, with a blue rectangle in the canton bearing fifty white stars. National Mammal
The American bison was designated as the national mammal of the United States in 2016. The bison is a symbol of the country's pioneering spirit and the rich natural heritage of the American plains.
