Medical Specialities (pronounced: med-i-kal spe-ci-al-i-ties) are specific branches of medical practice that doctors and other healthcare professionals specialize in after completing their general medical education. They are often characterized by specific areas of patient care, types of patients, diseases, skills, or techniques.
Etymology
The term "speciality" in medicine comes from the Latin word "specialis", which means "particular". The term "medical" is derived from the Latin word "medicus", which means "physician".

- Medical Specialities: These include Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, and others. These physicians specialize in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of diseases.
