Marylebone Cricket Club

The Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) is a cricket club based in London, England. It was founded in 1787 and is considered one of the most prestigious cricket clubs in the world. The MCC is the custodian of the Laws of Cricket and maintains the sport's global standard.

History

The Marylebone Cricket Club was established by Thomas Lord in 1787. It was initially located in Dorset Square, but moved to its current location in St John's Wood in 1814. The club has played a significant role in the development and promotion of cricket, both in England and internationally.

The MCC is responsible for the Laws of Cricket, which are the rules governing the game.
