List of eponymous medical treatments
Eponymous medical treatments refer to medical treatments, procedures, or syndromes that are named after people, usually the physicians or scientists who discovered or first described them. These eponymous terms serve as a means of honoring their contributions to the field of medicine. While the use of eponymous terms in medicine is a tradition, there has been a shift towards more descriptive naming practices that convey information about the disease process or treatment mechanism. However, many eponymous terms remain in common use.
