Lightwood's Law (pronunciation: /ˈlaɪtˌwʊd/ /lɔː/) is a medical principle that describes the relationship between alcohol consumption and cirrhosis of the liver. The law was named after British physician Richard Lightwood, who first proposed the concept in the 1970s.
