JK-05

JK-05 (pronounced: J-K-Zero-Five) is a pharmaceutical drug developed by the China-based company, Sihuan Pharmaceutical Holdings Group Ltd.. It is primarily used as an experimental treatment for the deadly Ebola virus.

Etymology

The name "JK-05" is derived from the initials of the lead scientist, Dr. Jiankui, who was instrumental in the development of the drug, and the number "05" represents the fifth iteration of the drug that was deemed successful for further testing and development.

Usage

JK-05 is used as a potential treatment for the Ebola virus. The drug works by inhibiting the replication of the virus in the body, thereby reducing the severity of the disease. It is currently in the experimental stage and is not yet widely available for use.
